Haul: Zara, Office, Boots - Westfield

Popped down to Westfield Shepherds Bush today for a bit of retail therapy. Was hunting for a new couple of tops, a pair of converse, a pair of school shoes and some travel friendly shampoo and conditioner.
I found one top, not a couple and my school shoe hunt was ongoing and entirely unsuccessful. The rest was okay.

I really wanted a white pair of converse but I was really worried about them getting really dirty. I tried on a few pairs before I chose. The ones I picked up are like the standard white converse except made of leather. They don't look too different from the original canvas ones and I think I may actually prefer these! They are so practical and will be a lot easier to clean. Love them! I'm a very happy Tabby. They cost £55, quite a lot and more than the canvas ones but I definitely think they are worth it.

Next was Zara, just popped in to see if there was anything I liked and lo and behold there was. A lovely navy jumper,  slightly cropped with a gold zip running all down the back. I love this jumper. It has an amazing weight to it and does seem quite good quality. There was a bit of a pricing fiasco with this at the check out and the lable conflicted with it. However ended up at £17.99, which I didn't think was too bad. I got it in a small and I love it!

Suprisingly, boots was definitely the least exciting place I went to. I needed some more travel friendly shampoo and conditioner than my current treseme and I also wanted to try something new. Plus, shampoo and conditioner were on 3 for 2. I've never really used pantene before so I tried some different things from different lines. I got the aqualight silicone free shampoo for fine hair just because sometimes my hair feels quite weighed down. I then got the pantene repair & protect for normal-thick hair. I use so much conditioner and my hair is so dry I thought this one would be best suited to me. Finally,  I got the l'oreal elvive full restore 5 conditioner. As a I said I used a lot of conditioner so I got another one and I used to use this full restore 5 line a lot so I thought I should try it again.

Not a huge haul but something for you to look at!
Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Blogging

This is really something I want to start doing more now. I'm not at all sure about the layout of my blog, the colour scheme or even the content but I know I enjoy doing it.
Hopefully I'll get a Barcelona blog up when I go there on Sunday and some Spanish beauty products if I am lucky enough to stumble across a pharmacy.
I watched some videos today that really inspired me to blog even if no one was reading, as it is a fun and good outlet for me alone, and if people join me along the way that is just a bonus :).
I do hope you are having a wonderful day and any Spanish recommendations would be much appreciated. Got my eye on some nivea things (face masks!).
A few more exciting things are coming up this month so hopefully I can blog about those too. Callander pic is below. And I'm going to start filofaxing more too :).

Simple Revitalising Eye Roll-On

Hurry down to sainsburys beauty lovers! They're having there 2 for £4 across simple products at the moment (or at least they were very recently). I picked up this eye roll on and somewipes for £4 when the roll on itself is over £5! I know, a great deal.
Onto the product. It is another one of those roll on eye products. Its a gel and comes in a tube packaging with a metal roll on (see pictures below).

If you squeeze the tube you can get more of the clear gel out. It is quite thin and is okay to rub in lightly with your fingers. I like to use the rollerball all around my eye in circular motions then pat in any residue product. It sinks in well. I mainly use this in the morning and maybe through out the day. Not a night eye cream at all.

Is it cooling? Yes, sometimes. When you first use this in the morning it is very cooling on your eyes. But if you use it a lot it slowly warms up with the heat of your skin. Not too much of a problem but something to be aware of.

I took this on the aeroplane with me to Amsterdam and it was nice and refreshing. I haven't noticed any difference on my eyes since I started using it. No reduce in dark circles or creasing of product. Concealer goes on fine on top of it.

I like this product for a pick me up for the eyes in the morning but if you are looking for anything more I recommend an eye cream from a slightly more credited skincare brand. Clinique also do an eye roll on (I think it is slightly tinted) that I want to have so badly!

I would say this is worth it if you get it on a great deal like I did, no longer term benefits but a nice revitalise.

Have a nice day :)

Diadermine Micellaire High Tolerance Tonic - Bioderma Dupe?

I was in Amsterdam over the last weekend and whilst in Etos (think Dutch boots) I spotted this product and was quickly drawn to it. I was hoping to see some bioderma whilst I was there but I had no such luck. I did encounter the Diadermine High Tolerance Micellair Tonic though.

If you are anything like me you are immediately thinking,  bioderma? I put a comparrision picture of the two so you can see the packaging similarities. My bioderma is basically finished so maybe you can see why I was looking for something similar.

I'm not sure on the price of bioderma but the Diodermine cost me €5.29 for 200ml. I got two, one for me and one for my sister.

I've only used this once and I can say it seems to do a very similar thing as bioderma. Haven't used it on waterproof mascara or anything yet but I will be testing that out tonight. I never found bioderma to be all that great on eye makeup so I won't be too disappointed if the diadermine can't take off my waterproof mascara, but I will be overjoyed if it can.

I plan on using this before I cleanse with my Liz Earle. I know some people use these type of products as a cleanser and I will probably do that in the morning sometimes. Using a product like this to take of some eye makeup and my face makeup makes me feel my cleanser is working harder on my skin not just at removing makeup, although I do find cleanse and polish is great at removing makeup. I may also use this as a toner, or just a facial refresher if I am not wearing any face makeup that day.

A major difference I did notice between the two was the strong floral scent that the Diadermine has,  I didn't find it too much of a problem when I used it but be weary if you are sensitive to scent. The high tolerance line is made for sensitive skin as is the bioderma.

The Diadermine says it has no parabens, silicones or perfumes (apparently the floral scent is from the high ammount of rose flower water). I'm not an expert in ingredients so I can't say if the bioderma has any of these things or not but I have seen people saying the ingredients aren't all that great? I'm not 100% on that and please don't quote me. They both claim to be Hypoallergenic and although the diadermine is specifically made for sensitive skin I cannot say if it will break you out or not, different products work differently on different skins.

I know the diadermine is available in The Netherlands and Germany and I'm sure in more countries across Europe. I've seen the bioderma line in France (of course) and Belgium.

If you have any more information on whrre either of these are accessible or if you've tried the Diadermine make sure you comment below.

Have a lovely day :)

UPDATE: I know it has been a long time but I thought I had to make you all aware on how the diadermine was. It is no bioderma,  I'll tell you that. The scent is very floral,  and almost a bit sickly so if you are sensitive to scent you will want to be careful. Moreover,  the diadermine almost foams up. When you shake it it goes foamy and doesn't feel at all like water (bioderma feels like water). I never had much success with bioderma on the eye makeup and I think that the Diadermine works about the same. Bioderma might be slightly better at removing makeup but there is not a lot in it. If you put too much diadermine on a cotton pad it goes foamy and weird and not very nice on the face whereas bioderma never does that. The lack of scent in bioderma is a huge bonus to me. Although I know anything can break you out, if you check below Elke commented that this broke her out and I have heard of that too. So be careful with it, that is disappointing too as it is made for sensitive skin.
